Doing the Right Things

Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you. 2 Peter 1:12

The best coaches constantly preach good fundamentals. It can be boring hearing the same things over and over again, but they are the keys to winning. One obvious thing that coaches don’t do is play the game. We are the ones out there knocking heads with the world and we must do the right things to be effective. Applying diligence requires perseverance in practicing the right things, so that in the heat of the moment, what is done, is the right thing. Peter gives this pre-game speech knowing that his coaching contract is about up. Continue to do these things and you’ll never stumble.
