We Are Not Like the Others

For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 2 Peter 1:4

If they could only grasp what happens to a believer, those shackled to the world and its lusts. Society flocks to movies about super heroes who possess special powers or who come from a different world. If asked I would have to describe my faith as something other worldly, and my powers supernatural. Residing in me is a slice of the God of the Universe! I can do all things through him, in whom all things are possible. I am immortal. I am more than a conqueror. What can mere man do to me? These are not lines from a screenplay but reality. But the Father in Heaven charges us to hone theses powers while bound to this earth, and to do good with them. Our kryptonite is our laziness and worldly indulgences. “Applying all diligence” unlocks our powers, with the end thereof always love.
